Amendment One, Florida’s Water & Land Conservation Amendment, Highlighted on Alachua County Talks

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – A new edition of Alachua County Talks featuring an interview with Pegeen Hanrahan, the Deputy Campaign Manager for Amendment One, Florida’s Water and Land Conservation Amendment, premieres Monday December 22, 2014 on Community 12 TV at 7:30 p.m. Amendment One was approved by Floridians in November with 75% of voters supporting the initiative. The measure dedicates state funds to acquire and restore Florida conservation and recreation lands.

In speaking of the program Alachua County Talks host Mark Sexton said, “Pegeen Hanrahan was invaluable in helping to secure passage of this important initiative. This interview is timely because the Board of Alachua County Commissioners has made Amendment One its number one priority in the next legislative session.”

The latest editions of Alachua County Talks air at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. every night except Thursday, and at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. every day. Special or regular County Commission and Gainesville City Commission meetings may preempt any showing.
