September Agriculture & Natural Resources Program

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture & Natural Resources Program for September, 2011.  These programs will be conducted by Barton Wilder, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent.  The programs will be held at the Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office (2800 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville).

Fall Wildlife Workshop, September 14, 5:30 to 8 p.m.,
Topics include: whitetail deer management, forage selections for food plots and prescribed burning for wildlife.

Cost to attend this workshop is $5.00 (includes dinner).

Natural Areas & Right of Way Weed Control Workshop, Wednesday, September 21, 9 a.m.to noon,
Topics include: exotic weed identification, herbicides for natural areas & right of way, principles of vegetation management and herbicide calculations.

Cost to attend this workshop is $3.00. 3 Natural Area & Right of Way CEUs will be offered.
