Evacuation Updates


Mandatory Evacuation for Unsafe Structure Residents Due to worsening weather conditions (Tropical Storm and Hurricane force winds) Alachua County has issued a Mandatory Evacuation order for those living in mobile homes, manufactured homes, recreational vehicles or homes which may not withstand hurricane force winds and those in flood prone areas. Please evacuate as quickly as possible. These residents must evacuate and stay with friends, family or in a hotel. Those considering using the emergency shelters, please remember that shelters are a choice of last resort. All shelters are on a first come first served basis.

Alachua County Government Closings


Alachua County BOCC offices will be closed beginning on noon Friday, September 8, 2017 through Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Essential County services will remain in full effect during the Hurricane Irma activation. County employees are still required to fulfill emergency responsibilities during this time.
