ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – Alachua County is now on Instagram. The County encourages all area Instagram users to “Follow” Alachua County and to tag the County in their posts relating to County locations and activities.
The County looks forward to sharing images and information that celebrates Alachua County’s natural beauty, rich culture, distinct history, and diverse events and programs.
Speaking about the Instagram launch, Alachua County Communications and Legislative Affairs Director Mark Sexton said, “The County is always looking for new and effective ways to engage residents. We look forward to sharing, and seeing what folks share with us.”
Instagram is the latest social media platform to be used by the County. County residents are also encouraged to follow Alachua County’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, and subscribe to the County’s YouTube channel. They can also get useful information by signing up for County News and the County’s Community Update Newsletter. Interested residents can also read news on the County News website, and watch County meetings and programming on the County’s Video on Demand website and on Cox Cable Channel 12.
