Alachua County Animal Services (ACAS) is at capacity. So now through the end of November 2017, they are offering waived adoption fees on all cats and kittens. ACAS is open for adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Ave, Gainesville).
Pet adopters must be 18 or older and show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies and license. All dogs and cats available for adoption are examined, vaccinated and spayed or neutered and microchipped before leaving Animal Services.
