Survivors of Sexual Violence Support Group

Alachua County Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center is offering a support group for people who have experienced sexual assault. The group provides a place for survivors to come together to express their feelings and explore topics related to healing. The group begins in March and will meet weekly for eight weeks.

Alachua County Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center is a certified rape crisis center, and the group is facilitated by counselors from the center. It is free of charge, but participants must register beforehand.

“The opportunity to find comfort and support in a non-judgmental group setting can be especially powerful for survivors who feel isolated,” said Sexual Assault Program Manager Jessie Lazarchik. “Connecting meaningfully with others helps build trust and hope for continued healing.”

For more information, or to register, contact Victim Advocate Counselor Katie Allen at 352-264-6765.
