The County Commission is requesting applications to develop a system of services for early childhood mental health consultation and trauma responsive training for caregivers and families of children birth to age five (RFA 18-223 Healthy Social and Emotional Development and Family Supports). The Social and Emotional Development (SED) program was developed by the Alachua County Children’s Services Advisory Board. The initiative will provide consultation benefitting children and families receiving early care and education from licensed center-based and home-based programs in Alachua County. SED will also benefit the staff of those early care and education providers through training and in classroom consultative services.
Required services and other parameters are contained in the proposal documents and must be adhered to in order to qualify for funding. The deadline for application submission is 5 p.m., on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. All potential applicants are required to attend the in-person pre-application workshop. The mandatory pre-application workshop is on Friday, March 30th, at 1 p.m., in Conference Room A at the Alachua County Community Support Services Department (224 S.E. 24th Street, Gainesville).
