Crisis Center Receives Reaccreditation

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Crisis Center was recently notified of their successful reaccreditation by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS). The Center is one of over 150 suicide and crisis intervention agencies in North America accredited by AAS.

In 1976, the Crisis Center became the fourth center in the US to be accredited for its work in suicide prevention. This year, the Center will celebrate 35 years of continuous accreditation and 42 years of service. The Crisis Center offers 24 hour per day phone crisis and suicide intervention counseling to all residents of Alachua County.
