4-5-11 Special Board Meetings

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Commission is holding two special meetings on Tuesday April 5, 2011.  Both meetings are on the second floor of the County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville. 

At 10 a.m., there will be a Special Budget meeting.  The meeting will take place in the Grace Knight Conference Room.  Agenda items include an Environmental Scan of the latest budget issues and a discussion of the Department of Public Safety.  The meeting will recess for lunch and resume at 1:30 p.m. with a discussion of the Community Support Services Department, the Stormwater Management Program, and the possible Infrastructure Sales Tax for roads.

At 5 p.m. there will be a Special Meeting/Public Hearing to discuss an
Ordinance amending the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan (CPA 08-10) based on the Evaluation and Appraisal Report.  This meeting will take place in the Jack Durrance Auditorium.

Both meetings will be broadcast live on Cox Channel 12 or may be viewed live online at the County's Video on Demand site.  The meetings will be archived online to be watched at the viewer’s convenience, and replayed on channel 12.
