EPD Water Presentation

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department will give a presentation titled, "Making Every Drop Count" on April 14, 2011, at the Water Conservation Symposium, in Room 101 of the Cancer and Genetics Research Complex (2033 Mowry Road, Gainesville. Click here for map.) The Symposium is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Water Conservation Symposium is part of Water Conservation Month.

“Experts will illustrate global and regional water issues before I focus on simple steps everyone can take to reduce their water use,” said Stacie Greco, Water Conservation Coordinator. “This event was organized by UF staff that felt an urgency to educate our community on the importance of water conservation.”

The event is sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research Green Team, the Water Institute, and UF Office of Sustainability.
