ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Extension Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental Horticulture Programs, for December, 2011. This program is offered by Wendy Wilber, Environmental Horticulture Agent.
Growing Shiitake Mushrooms- December 3, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alachua County Extension Office (2800 NE 39th Avenue).
Learn the basics of shiitake mushroom growing. Shiitake mushrooms are grown on oak logs. Learn how to prepare and inoculate the logs for shiitake mushroom production.
