Paws on Parole Graduation

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services and the Gainesville CI Work Camp announce that the Paws on Parole program will hold a graduation on Friday, Dec 2, 2011, for the 17th Academy. The graduation begins at 9 a.m. at the Gainesville CI Work Camp (1000 NE 55 BLVD, Gainesville). Sheriff Darnell will be master of ceremony.

Paws on Parole is a program that teaches and allows prison inmates to train adoptable dogs. The inmates learn the methods and train the dogs in the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizens Course. At the end of the training course, the dogs are available for adoption.  Paws on Parole has a 100% adoption rate, and has graduated over 100 dogs.
