Barr Hammock Preserve Public Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Environmental Protection Department invites citizens to a public meeting to solicit input on the stewardship and public use of the Barr Hammock Preserve. The meeting is on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at Ryan Hall, Episcopal Church of the Mediator (501 NE Cholokka Blvd, Micanopy).

Alachua County, has acquired an 86 acre addition to Barr Hammock Preserve, bringing the total acreage of the Preserve to 5,719. The property was acquired to protect, preserve and enhance the unique natural and cultural resources found on the property and to provide an enjoyable and educational passive recreational experience.
