ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The public is invited to attend and participate in a community workshop hosted by the Alachua County Growth Management Department to discuss planning and zoning for the unincorporated area located southeast of Gainesville Regional Airport (shown on the map as the Study Area). The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Florida Department of Transportation Operations Office Auditorium at 5301 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville. This is a follow-up to the community workshop held on April 12, 2012.
The County is seeking input on the currently adopted “Heavy Industrial” Future Land Use designation in the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan, the related zoning designations, and potential alternatives for this area.
