ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Public Works crews have completed the repair of the pipe culvert located at 6100 NW 156th Avenue approximately 2/3 mile east of CR 237 between CR 237 and NW 59th Drive that was washed out last Thursday.  Although the road is now open to the public there will be uneven pavement until the final pavement patch can be placed.  Temporary lane closures will occur during the placement of pipe end treatments and the final asphalt patch so the motoring public should expect temporary delays during those operations.  Appropriate warning signs will be posted.  Provided there are no weather delays, work on this section of roadway should be completed by June 28.

The second closure is located at 8000 NW 156th Avenue approximately 1/2 mile west of CR 237 between NW 90th Street and NW 78th Terrace remains closed.  This section of road will be closed until further notice.  A detour has been established sending traffic north on CR 237 to SR 235 and then east to Burnett's Lake Road.  See map above for detour route.

For information regarding the closure at 8000 NW 156th Terrace, contact Ruth Findley at rfindley@alachuacounty.us or 352-548-1313.
