ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - In order to keep the public well informed on important zoning, land-use and development review issues, Alachua County is augmenting its process of advertising these issues. In addition to legally required efforts, the County will begin sending press releases as well as posting on Facebook, Twitter, the County Website, the County newsletter, and on local government access channel 12.

Sweetwater Branch/Paynes Prairie Sheetflow Restoration Project - A public hearing to consider the Revised Preliminary and Final Development Plan for the construction of public access amenities and a 125 acre enhancement wetland with sedimentation basin forebay, storm water conveyance channels, and berms on approximately 258 acres - Located on Tax Parcel Numbers 16246-001-001, 15672-001-000, and portions of 16257-000-000, 16246-001-000, 16258-042-000, 16257-000-000, 15672-002-000 and 16246-003-001 in the 3700 block of SE Williston Road – Jones Edmunds and Associates - agents. Planned Development Zoning; Residential Medium Density/Low Density (4-8 dwelling units per acre) Future Land Use.
