Advisory Board Openings

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – More than 250 citizens serve on the boards that advise the County Commission and local agencies. The boards deal with subjects such as affordable housing, economic development, environmental protection, human rights, County finances and many other topics. A great way to become engaged and involved in your County government is to serve on one of these boards.

Alachua County Housing Authority
The County Commission will appoint one citizen to the Alachua County Housing Authority Board on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, September 26.

Alachua County Health Facilities Authority
The County Commission will appoint one citizen to the Alachua County Health Facilities Authority on Tuesday, October 24, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

Alachua County Land Conservation Board
The County Commission will appoint one citizen to the Alachua County Land Conservation Board on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

WellFlorida Council
The County Commission will appoint three citizens to the WellFlorida Council on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

Alachua County Housing Finance Authority
The County Commission will appoint four citizens to the Alachua County Housing Finance Authority on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Alachua County Board of Adjustment
The County Commission will appoint two citizens to the Alachua County Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
