ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following 4-H Program for November, 2013. This program is being offered by Matt Benge, 4-H Youth Development Agent, at Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park (100 Savannah Boulevard, Micanopy).

1st Annual 4-H 5K Little Run on the Prairie – November 16, registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.  The race begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by awards ceremony at 9:45 a.m.

The public is invited to join Alachua County 4-H in its first annual 5K run. Proceeds from the run will impact youth through 4-H Clubs, school enrichment programs, and summer camps. Prizes, snacks, T-shirt, and entry to the park are included in the $25.00 entry fee.

Participants must register by November 2 to guarantee a T-shirt.
