ZOM-12-13 (rezoning) is a request to create a new residential Planned Development (PD) zoning district (to be called Archer Farms) from an existing PD district (Marlboro Farms).  If approved, the new PD will allow 6 residential lots.  The property has a Rural/Agriculture (1 dwelling unit per 5 acres) land use designation and is approximately 44.9 acres located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Newberry Road and SW 165th Street.  In addition, the applicant is requesting a special exception for an agricultural events arena for the Archer Farms PD.  If approved, the special exception would permit single day equestrian events open to the public on the property no more than six times a year.  For more information contact Jerry Brewington (Senior Planner) at 352-374-5249.
