County Seeks Agencies for Community Agency Partnership Program

ALACHUA COUNTY — The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from qualified not-for-profit agencies desiring to participate in the Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP). The deadline for submitting applications is 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2006.

The Community Agency Partnership Program is a competitive funding process, where non-profit agencies with programs that serve to reduce poverty can apply. Qualified non-profits are those who have a physical business address in Alachua County, are tax exempt, are registered as a corporation with the State of Florida AND who have a program or programs that will impact poverty in Alachua County.

Attendance at one of the two (2) scheduled pre-application meetings is mandatory for agencies that wish to apply for funding. The first meeting is Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., at the Community Support Services Department, 218 SE 24th St., Gainesville. The second meeting is Thursday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alachua County Health Department, 224 SE 24th St., Gainesville.
