Class Offered On Getting Financially Organized

ALACHUA COUNTY - Starting in January, the Alachua County Extension Office is offering "Getting Financially Organized," a free program to help citizens get started with their financial resolutions for the new year.
 
The first class in this four-part series is being offered Tuesday, January 8, and will cover important documents--what to keep, where to keep them and for how long--along with other tips on record keeping. Participants will receive handouts to assist with their tasks at home.
 
Below is the complete class schedule:
  • Jan 8 - Part I - Important Papers
  • Feb 12 - Part II - Financial tools: Spending plans, financial goals, net worth statements, etc.
  • Mar 6 - Part III - Insurance Review and Up-dates
  • April 14 - Part IV - Health Care Directives and Basics of Estate Planning
 
All classes will be held both 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
 
The program will be taught by Alachua County Family & Consumer Sciences Agent Brenda C. Williams, Ed.D.  The sessions will be held at the Alachua County Extension Office, 2800 NE 39th Ave. in Gainesville.
