ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - On February 11, 2008 the Alachua County Public Works Department will begin the milling and resurfacing of County Road 1474. The length of the project is 4.25 miles. Four foot paved shoulders will be added to the existing road. The cost of the project is $2.7 million. It is being funded from Gas Tax Bond Revenues approved by the Board of County Commissioners in April of 2005.
Construction is expected to last 120 calendar days. Daily lane closures may be in effect during this time period. Anyone traveling through this area should expect delays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
