ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Public Works Department is pleased to report on the good progress being made on the CR 1474 milling and resurfacing project. Approximately one half of the project is complete. The second half involves the CR 1474 section from SE 163rd Street to US 301. This section will be closed to thru traffic from Monday, June 23, 2008 to August 15, 2008. Local traffic only will be permitted to travel on the roadway. Anyone traveling through this area should expect delays.
The mill and resurface of CR 1474 is being done by County road crews resulting in considerable savings to Alachua County taxpayers.
