Open House for SW 62nd Blvd.Connector Project

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The public is invited to a meeting to discuss alternatives for developing a four-lane connector from SR 24 (Archer Road) to SR 26 (Newberry Road) that includes SW 62nd Boulevard.  The meeting will be held Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the cafeteria of Myra Terwilliger Elementary School, 301 NW 62nd Street, Gainesville.

The purpose of the project is to study alternatives for a north-south connector between SR 24 (Archer Road) and SR 26 (Newberry Road) to relieve congestion on I-75, SR 24, SR 26 and SW 20th Avenue.

The purpose of meeting is to present the alternatives currently under evaluation and the results of the comparative analysis of these alternatives and to receive input from the public.

An open house with exhibits showing the alternatives will occur from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. A brief summary presentation will be provided at 6:30 PM with a question and answer session to follow.
