Greentree Village, located at SE 35th St. from 21st through 23rd Avenues, will kickoff its Neighborhood Cleanup Initiative with a community meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18. The kickoff will take place at the pond in the center of the neighborhood circle and will entail food and fun under the tent, plus educational visits by Keep Alachua County Beautiful's Trash Trooper program, Big Blue, and more. Door prizes will be donated by Carter's Lawn Service and Tree City Properties.
The neighborhood cleanup will be the following Saturday, February 25, at 9 a.m., followed by ice cream donated by Ben & Jerry's. All are invited.
The Cleanup Initiative is coordinated by Greentree Village resident Shevell Anderson and Greentree Village property owner Kayla Sosnow, in conjunction with Alachua County Waste Collection, Keep Alachua County Beautiful, and Community Revitalization.
