ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is hosting a special Economic Stimulus Summit on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel (4200 NW 97th Blvd., Gainesville). The hotel is located just west of the intersection of I-75 and NW 39th Avenue.
With the recent passage of H.R. 1 (the "American Recovery and Reinvest-ment Act of 2009") billions of federal dollars are set to flow into Florida to state and local governments. Alachua County wants to ensure that our communities and the organizations that serve them do not miss out on opportunities to obtain their fair share of the economic stimulus funding.
