Hazardous Waste Management Workshop

hazardous waste stock imageALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection are providing a free workshop on how to comply with hazardous waste regulations and used oil storage requirements. The workshop is on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Gainesville Regional Utilities Eastside Operations Center (4747 North Main Street, Gainesville).

The workshop will cover topics that apply to most businesses that generate potentially hazardous waste.  Common regulated wastes include: used oil, used oil filters, corrosives, antifreeze, solvents, rags, paint wastes, lead-acid batteries, and spent fluorescent bulbs.
