ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct two Special Meetings on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The meetings begin at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).
The 10 a.m. meeting agenda includes:
1. Children Services Needs Assessment Strategy and Funding

1. Policy and Procedure Discussion: Adding Items to Special Meeting Agendas
2. Oil and Gas Ordinance - Alachua County's Home Rule Authority to Address Oil Extraction

The public is invited to attend the meetings. They will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12 or on the County's Video on Demand website.
Free parking is available for citizens attending these meetings. Please park in the S.W. Parking Garage (220 S.E. 2nd Ave, Gainesville) and bring your parking stub to the Alachua County Manager's Office, located on the 2nd floor of the County Administration Building, to receive a chaser validation ticket.
