June Environmental & Community Horticulture Program

tomatosALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Environmental & Community Horticulture Program for June, 2016. This program is being offered by Dr. Denise DeBusk, Environmental and Community Horticulture Agent.

Vegetable Gardening for Beginners – June 6, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Library Headquarters Branch (401 East University Avenue, Gainesville)

Participants will learn how to start a vegetable garden using the square foot gardening technique. Bed construction, soil preparation, the vegetable that can be grown, and pest control will be covered.

There is no cost to attend this class and space is limited; pre-register at least 3 days prior to class by calling 352-337-6209 (voice mail).
