Planning CommissionALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209) on the second floor of the County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

Item for the Planning Commission

ZOX-01-16 (Special Exception) – This is a request by Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A., agents, for Florida Power and Light, owners, for a special exception to allow a 74.5 Megawatt photovoltaic solar facility as a public utility East of CR 219A and North of CR 1474 on Tax Parcel Numbers 19048-001-000; 19048-000-000; and 19044-000-000 on approximately 413.80 acres. These parcels have an ‘A’ (Agriculture) zoning district with a Rural Agriculture future land use designation. If approved by the Board of County Commissioners, the special exception would permit a solar array on this parcel in eastern Alachua County. The array is also located in Putnam County and the total parcel size is approximately 625 acres.
