Evacuation Updates

Alachua County is extending and expanding the mandatory evacuation for those in the flood plain adjacent to the Santa Fe River. Alachua County has expanded the area to include a mandatory evacuation for properties adjacent to creeks, rivers, and streams north of northwest 441. Impacted communities include High Springs, the City of Alachua, and the Town of Lacrosse.

Alachua County is asking all those who can return used sandbags (filled or empty) to High Springs Memorial Park (17380 N.W. US Hwy 441, High Springs). High Springs is experiencing extreme flood conditions, and the bags will be used by those in need.
