Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP) Poverty Reduction Funding

ALACHUA COUNTY - The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is currently seeking applications from 501(c)(3), social service-type agencies for the Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP).  Poverty reduction program funding is available to qualified non-profit social service-type agencies with a physical address in Alachua County.  Please note that this particular RFA (#08-198), is not available to arts, cultural, historical, environmental, recreational or economic development-type agencies.  The deadline for submitting applications is 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 09, 2007. Interested applicants must attend one of the following pre-application workshops:

  • Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Alachua County Health Department, 224 SE 24th St., Gainesville, FL
  • Thursday, April 12, 2007, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Alachua County Health Department , 224 SE 24th St., Gainesville, FL.

 CAPP Advisory Board Chair Jennifer Fitterman states, “The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners and the community have demonstrated a clear commitment to reversing the dire effects of poverty.  The Community Agency Partnership Program represents an innovative and effective tool to distribute funds to the programs most effective in reducing poverty in Alachua County.”
