ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - In response to recent changes in state statute and the existing and near-term level of service deficiencies on roadways in the western portion of the County's urban area, County staff has drafted a Long Term Concurrency Management System (LTCMS) for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.  The ultimate goal of this process is the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment, which creates the LTCMS to address concurrency management within the County.  The adoption of a LTCMS would allow development to address transportation concurrency through contributing a proportionate share of the cost to construct new roadway capacity.  Staff is also developing Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network and Transit Oriented Design (TOD) policies as part of the LTCMS. Supporting documents are available for download and viewing on the Growth Management Website at http://growth-management.alachuacounty.us/TPIF/cm_docs.php

To assist citizens in giving input regarding various roadway corridor alternatives, a LTCMS Public Comment Form has been created.  This form allows users to check a box next to the roadway project they wish to prioritize.  A map of the various roadway corridors and Corridor Alternatives Map is provided on the website.  Further detail for each roadway corridor and the alternatives listed is included in the document titled Alternatives and Priorities Analysis.  A detailed presentation Long Term Concurrency Management System is available for download.  This Public Comments Form is a PDF file that can be filled out and once finished, you can simply select submit form, the application will them prompt you to select what type of email service you use, and once you select the service, it will email the form directly to growth management transportation planning staff.  You can also save the form, fill it in and email it the same way you would email an attachment.  If you elect to email as an attachment, we request that you use one of the following in the subject line: Long Term Concurrency Management System or LTCMS.
