 ALACHUA COUNTY - On Tuesday July 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Alachua County Manager Randall H. Reid will present his Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 2008 and Fiscal Year 2009 to the Alachua Board of County Commissioners.  The presentation will take place in the Commission Chambers, room 209, located at 12 SE 1st St., Gainesville, FL.   

The Budget presentation will be broadcast live on Cox Channel 12 as well as live on the County's new Video on Demand page on the County website.  Go to http://www.alachuacounty.us/ and follow the links for Video on Demand.

In speaking of the FY08 and FY09 Tentative Budget Mr. Reid said, "This year's budget message theme is Sustaining County Services in an Era of Property Tax Reform.  Over the next two fiscal years of FY08 and FY09 our efforts will revolve around the actions we will need to undertake to sustain the County's organizational capacity to provide core services and build new infrastructure in the face of mandated property tax relief legislation and what I consider the erosion of home rule."
