National HIV Testing Day

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Health Department will be observing National HIV Testing Day with two consecutive days of free HIV testing.  This year's theme is "Take the Test, Take Control."
 
On Thursday, June 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., in support of this important public health initiative, the Alachua County Health Department will be providing free HIV/STD testing in addition to offering free and confidential HIV counseling. The free tests utilize the OraQuick Advance finger stick test, and citizens will only have to wait 20 minutes for their HIV results.  The Health Department is located at 224 SE 24th St., Gainesville.  Please call 352-334-7960 to schedule a free and confidential HIV OraQuick test.  Other Sexually Transmitted Disease information and screening will also be available.
 
On Friday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Alachua County Health Department will observe National HIV Testing Day by providing free HIV testing to visitors at the Alachua County Jail, located at 333 NE 39th Ave, Gainesville. The test used will be the OraQuick Advance finger stick test and results will be available in 20 minutes. Other Sexually Transmitted Disease information will also be available.
