Sustainable Alachua County Community/Stakeholder Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Sean McClendon, Sustainability Coordinator for Alachua County, will be a presenter at the upcoming Sustainable Alachua County (SAC) Community/Stakeholder Meeting. This meeting will be held on February 12, 2009, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (100 NE 1st Street, Gainesville).

 

This will be a stakeholders meeting in order to reassess and realign their mission goals to best meet the needs of the community. The Public is invited to participate and share ideas on how SAC can help the community work and live more efficiently.

 

The meeting will feature a short presentation on SAC's history, by Susan Marynowski. Sean McClendon will present on the recent report of the Alachua County Energy Conservation Strategies Committee, and the vision of Alachua County Government on sustainability. The meeting will be led by professional facilitators, Bruce Delaney and Wendy-Lin Bartels.

 

SAC is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 to promote, discussion, and action on issues of sustainability. The mission of Sustainable Alachua County is to provide education and civic participation opportunities that enhance the sustainability and healthy functioning of our environmental, social/cultural, and economic systems.
