Code Enforcement Board Openings

​ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County is seeking to fill five positions on the Code Enforcement Board (CEB). These are voluntary positions, with the Board meetings held the first Thursday of each month at 9 a.m., in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville).

The CEB is a quasi-judicial body of seven members and two alternates, appointed by the County Commission with a goal to achieve compliance on designated civil code violations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Alachua County. The Code Enforcement Board has the authority to issue findings of fact, conclusions of law, and orders to adjudicate violators of code requirements. The CEB may impose a fine if compliance is not achieved within a reasonable period of time.

The CEB is in need of members to fill the following positions: Architect, Sub-contractor, Citizen-at-Large and 2 Alternates (which can be any occupation).
