Florida Master Naturalist Wetlands Program Series

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture & Natural Resources Program for October, 2011.  This program will be conducted by Barton Wilder, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent.  The program will be held at the Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office, 2800 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville (except for scheduled field trips).

Florida Master Naturalist Wetlands Program Series- Monday, October 17, to Saturday, November 19, 2011
Class topics include: naturalist interpretation, Florida wetlands wildlife, plant communities of swamps, marsh and permanent wetlands.  In addition to classroom, there will be field trips made to Silver River, Paynes Prairie and Morningside Nature Center.

This program series consists of 11 classes.  Participants must attend all 11 classes in order to receive the certificate of completion. 

The cost is $225.00 and the registration deadline is October 12, 2011.  Class size is limited to 15 participants.
