9-11-12 Commission Regular Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct their twice-monthly Regular Meeting/Public Hearing on Tuesday September 11, 2012.  The Regular Meeting begins at 9 a.m. and the Public Hearing begins at 5 p.m.  Both meetings are in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209) on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville.

Items of interest at the Regular Meeting include:

11. Strategic Plan for Economic Development

12. DEO to amend Prime Conduit, Inc. QTI program agreement. (Amended)

13. The Wagmore Foundation's Gifts to Animal Services

Items of interest at the Public Hearing include:

19. 5:30 PM-Public Hearing: Approve FY13 Proposed Millage Rates and Adjusted Tentative Budgets; Adopt FY13 Financial Policies; Adopt FY13 Schedule of Fees and Charges for Services; Approve FY13-17 Comprehensive Capital Improvement Program

20. Solid Waste: Final Rate Resolution

21. Public Hearing for the Preservation and Enhancement District non-Ad Valorem Assessment

22. Continuation of the First Public Hearing to Consider the Proposed Changes to the Unified Land Development Code.

23. ZOS-02-12: A request for a special use permit for government buildings (a citrus repository) in an 'A' (Agricultural) district on approximately 10 acres

24. Citrus Repository Preliminary Development Plan

25. ZOX-02-12: A request for a minor amendment to an existing special exception for a large group home in an 'A' (Agricultural district on approximately 8 acres

26. Grand Preserve at Kanapaha (PD)
