November 4-H Programs

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The UF/IFAS Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office is pleased to announce the following 4-H programs for November, 2012. These programs are being offered by Matt Benge, 4-H Youth Development Agent. Youth ages 5 to 18 are invited to attend and 4-H enrollment is not required.

Holiday Cookie Bake-off – November 30, drop-off from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop off a dozen homemade cookies in a disposable container with a printed recipe. Cookies will be judged on taste, texture and appearance.

Trophies will be awarded for:

Best Overall Cookie or Candy - Top Overall Scoring Entry
Best Decorative Display - will be judged at “Light-Up Micanopy”
Best Decorated Cookie - Most Creatively Decorated Cookie 

No cost to attend this event.

Holiday Crafts Workshop – November 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  

The annual holiday workshop offers an array of crafts suitable for gift giving. Parent must attend.

Cost is $10.00, includes dinner and craft materials.
