ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) will recognize its volunteers at a luncheon on Friday, December 14, 2012, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at the Best Western Gateway Grand (4200 NW 97th Blvd, Gainesville).  Rodney Long will be the Master of Ceremonies. In exchange for their service, the volunteers receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour, meals, assistance with transportation, and supplemental insurance.

The program is accepting applications for new volunteers. Applicants must be Alachua County residents 55 or over.
