The mission of the Facilities Management Department is to repair and improve, renovate, design and construct, and maintain Alachua County's Facilities thereby providing a clean, safe, and energy-efficient environment for our customers.

Construction & Maintenance
Our team excels in designing and constructing green, sustainable
buildings to be used for years to come. We employ modern, energy
efficient systems to deliver critical services such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing,
with less impact on the environment. Our expert maintenance staff keep Alachua
County’s 55+ buildings running year-round by installing and maintaining these
systems to preserve efficiency and reduce spending overhead.
Custodial & Grounds
We strive
to create clean, healthy conditions in all Alachua County’s buildings. Our
custodial staff meticulously clean work areas, restroom, and other public
spaces each day to provide a sanitized, spotless environment. Meanwhile, our
grounds staff maintain the grass, foliage, and pathways to maintain safety and
cleanliness around the exterior of Alachua County properties.
