12-11-18 Commission Regular Meeting and Public Hearing

​The Alachua County Commission will conduct their Regular Meeting, and their Regular Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. The Regular Meeting begins at 9 a.m., and the Public Hearing begins at 5 p.m. Both meetings are in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

  • Three Minute Local History presentation regarding Guy Lindsey: An Everyday Guy From Hawthorne's Past 
  • Gubernatorial nominations of citizens for appointment to the Children's Trust of Alachua County 
  • County Commission appointments to Boards and Committees for 2019 
  • Joint Planning Agreement to resolve a dispute between Alachua County and the City of Alachua 
  • Request to Advertise for a Public Hearing to adopt amendments to Chapter 404.108 ULDC related to dock permitting 
  • Request to Advertise proposed amendments to the Human Rights Ordinance, Chapter 111 of County Code, providing for additional protections from discrimination in housing and real estate transactions 
  • Consider options for Camp McConnell 
  • Discussion of License Agreement for use of Alachua County Fairgrounds with Alachua County Fair Association for 2019 Gatornational RV Camping

There are four public comment opportunities during the Regular/Public Hearing Meetings, which enable citizens to speak to items, not on the agenda. The public is encouraged to attend the meetings.
