4-16-19 Special Meeting and Joint City of Hawthorne Meeting

​The Alachua County Commission will hold a Special Meeting and a Joint City of Hawthorne Meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. The Special Meeting begins at 10 a.m. and the Joint City of Hawthorne Meeting begins 6:30 p.m. The Special Meeting is in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville). The Joint City of Hawthorne Meeting is in the Hawthorne City Hall Auditorium (6875 S.E. 221st Street, Hawthorne).

The 10 a.m. meeting agenda includes:

  • FY20 Budget discussions - historical trends, County revenues, FY19 Level of Service Matrix, FY19 Budget allocation breakout by focus area, fee schedule and financial policies

The 6:30 p.m. meeting agenda includes:

  • Gas Tax discussion
  • Alachua County Agriculture and Equestrian Center update

The public is invited to attend the meetings. The 10 a.m. Special Meeting will be available to view live on Facebook, Cox Channel 12, and the County’s Video on Demand website. The 6:30 p.m. Joint City of Hawthorne Meeting will not be available to view on Cox Channel 12 or online.
