The Alachua County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. They are reviewing and updating the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan. The topic areas for discussion at this meeting include Economic Opportunity, Broadband Access, Affordable Housing, and the Local Food Economy. The public is invited and encouraged to attend and give input on these Comprehensive Plan topics. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).
“This is an opportunity for the people of Alachua County to help shape the future of our community,” said Alachua County Growth Management Interim Director Missy Daniels. “The Comprehensive Plan should reflect the community’s vision, so public participation is essential. We hope to have residents and community groups directly engage in the process as we update the Plan.”
