8-26-20 County Commission and City of Gainesville Virtual Joint Meeting Includes COVID-19 Discussion

The City of Gainesville Commission will host a virtual Joint Meeting with the Alachua County Commission on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 10 a.m. At the meeting, the Commissions will discuss COVID-19.

The public may attend virtually through Cox Channel 12, the Facebook pages for Alachua County and the City of Gainesville, and the County’s Video on Demand website

The public may submit comments to the Board through email (bocc@alachuacounty.us), by mail to the City of Gainesville, Clerk of the Commission: P.O. Box 490, Station 19, 32627-0490, by phone before the meeting to the City Clerk of the Commission Office at 352-334-5015, by e-comment, by phone during the meeting at 1-800-876-7516. A moderator will call on you when it is your turn to speak (please mute the sound on your computer/device if you are watching the meeting online. State your name clearly for the record). Each speaker will have three minutes to comment. All written comments submitted shall be made a part of the public record. If any member of the public requires additional information about this meeting or has any questions about how to submit a public comment at the meeting, contact City of Gainesville City Clerk Omichele D. Gainey at 352-334-5015 or clerks@cityofgainesville.org or by mail at 200 East University Avenue, First Floor Gainesville, FL 32601. Contact the City Clerk’s Office at 352-334-5015 to report issues with the technology that the City is using (not the technology members of the public are using) to provide public access (viewing, listening and/or commenting) to the meeting. Persons with disabilities who require assistance to participate in the meetings are requested to notify the Equal Opportunity Office at 352-334-5051, or call the TDD phone line at 352-334-2069 at least two business days in advance of the meeting.

The public is encouraged to submit any written or photographic documents prior to the meeting to bocc@alachuacounty.us.
