The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209) on the second floor of the County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

ZOM-06-18 (Rezoning) - This is a request by Brenda E. Fitz, agent and owner, to rezone from ‘RE-1’ (Residential Estate) zoning district to ‘R-1C’ (Single Family Residential) zoning district. The site is approximately 1.01 acre and has a future land use designation of Low Density Residential (1-4 dwelling units/acre). The site is located on tax parcel 06941-002-000 on the corner of S.W. 57th Avenue and S.W. 59th Street. This request, if approved, will amend the zoning on the parcel to allow a mobile home as well as a site-built single family residence. Alachua County Comprehensive Plan Update - Draft updates of policies in several Elements of the Comprehensive Plan relating to protection of water and natural resources, and draft updates of Transportation Mobility Element policies and maps and transportation-related policies and multimodal projects in the Capital Improvements Element will be discussed before the Planning Commission acting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA). These hearings are part of the continuing series of meetings before the LPA and the Board of County Commissioners as part of the overall Comprehensive Plan update that will be transmitted to the State Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) early next year.
