The Alachua County Public Works Department is notifying residents that AT&T will be performing maintenance on Northwest 16th Boulevard, near Northwest 31st Street, on Feb. 10.
Drivers should expect a lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions to be closed while the AT&T construction crews attach new hardware to the utility poles to support the overhead cable. Once the attachments are made, all lanes will be temporarily closed for five minutes while AT&T crews install the overhead cable across Northwest 16th Boulevard.
Access to all side streets and subdivisions will be maintained and open during the closures. Drivers should use caution when traveling through the construction zone or seek an alternate route during construction.
