N.W. 16th Avenue Stabilization

Alachua County Public Works will be stabilizing N.W. 16th Avenue and the banks of Hogtown Creek at the south end of Alfred Ring Park beginning on January 28, 2019. The duration of the project is dependent on weather, but the work is expected to take approximately eight weeks.

During construction, the sidewalk and outside lane on the north side of N.W. 16th Avenue (westbound traffic) will be closed from N.W. 16th Terrace to N.W. 22nd Street. Additionally, the Ring Park trail at 16th Avenue will be closed. Visitors can still visit Ring Park using the entrance at N.W. 23rd Boulevard, but visitors will not be able to enter the park from 16th Avenue or get to 16th Avenue from the park.
