ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Other than emergency services, all Alachua County government offices will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.
Curbside Waste Collection/Collection Centers
Residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling and yard trash will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week following each holiday (December 25, and January 1). Monday and Tuesday’s regular solid waste collection will not be affected by these holidays. Wednesday’s collection will occur on Thursday and Thursday’s collection will occur Friday. The regular schedule for these services will resume the following week.
The five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will maintain regular hours of operation. The Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station will maintain regular hours of operation except for December 25, and January 1, when they will be closed.
The Hazardous Waste Collection Center and the Office of Waste Collection will be closed Wednesday and Thursday December 25, and 26, and Wednesday January 1. The regular schedule for these services will resume January 2.

Animal Services
Animal Services will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, however there will be an officer available for emergency call outs through the Alachua Sheriffs Communication Center. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday).

Clerk of the Court
The Office of the Clerk of the Court will be closed December 24, 25, and January 1. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).
